Frequently asked questions

How long is the trip on the Aegean Flying Dolphin hydrofoils?

Flying Dolphins“ are hydrofoils that operate mainly in the Aegean Sea, connecting the Greek islands with the mainland. As soon as they gain speed, the hull rises thanks to the thrust of the foils, which raise the hull, reducing resistance with the water. Flying Dolphins can reach speeds of up to 35 knots, equivalent to about 65 kilometres per hour. This speed allows them to significantly reduce travel time compared to traditional ferries, making them a popular choice for tourists and local residents wishing to move quickly between islands.
