  • - Superfast Ferries S.A. or Blue Star Ferries S.A. are under no obligation to refund if the cancellation is made within 24 hours prior to the ship's departure or if the passenger fails to show up at the check-in desk. Passengers have the right to change their ticket into an open date ticket (OPEN) with a validity of one year from the date of issue.
  • - In the event of a partial cancellation of a return trip for which one leg has already been completed, the passenger will be charged the fare corresponding to a one-way trip and will be reimbursed in accordance with the above conditions.

Refunds must be made within a maximum of three months after the date of travel. Any request for reimbursement must be made in writing. Cancellations and refunds are handled exclusively through the travel agency, port agency, Premium sales agent or Superfast Ferries S.A. or Blue Star Ferries S.A. office depending on where the booking and payment were made. Port agencies may cancel a booking after the completion of the check-in procedure but cannot make refunds. Superfast Ferries S.A. or Blue Star Ferries S.A. have the right to retain the total value of the ticket if the passenger interrupts their journey at an intermediate port, unless such interruption is due to illness, accident or force majeure.

Return ticket with open date

Passengers holding a return ticket with an open date must, well in advance, book their return journey through the travel agency, Premium sales agent, port agency or the offices of Superfast Ferries S.A. or Blue Star Ferries S.A. where the booking and payment have been made. Return fares are always calculated on the basis of the low season fare. In the event that a passenger travels during mid or high season or during a period when a new fare is in effect, the difference between the new fare and the fare already paid will be paid. Superfast Ferries S.A. or Blue Star Ferries S.A. does not guarantee that passengers holding a return ticket with an open date will return on the desired date.

Lost tickets

If the ticket is lost, the passenger must immediately inform the travel agent, Premium sales agent, port agent, the office of Superfast Ferries S.A. or Blue Star Ferries S.A. that issued the ticket. The new ticket may only be collected by the holder upon presentation of a valid identity document. Note: At check-in, all passengers must provide proof of regular ticket possession together with their valid ID card or passport.

Unaccompanied children

Superfast Ferries S.A. or Blue Star Ferries S.A. do not accept bookings for children under 15 years of age unaccompanied by an adult. The relevant forms are available from Superfast Ferries S.A. or Blue Star Ferries S.A.

Passengers with special needs

Our ships have specially designed cabins to facilitate accessibility for passengers with special needs. Due to the limited number of such cabins, it is advisable to book in advance. For further assistance, please call our Customer Service hotline.

Pets

A limited number of cabins are available for transporting pets. It is therefore necessary to book well in advance. If they are all already booked, we offer a number of stalls as an alternative, which must, however, be booked in advance. Owners or caretakers of these animals must be in possession of the relevant health booklet (EU citizens will also be asked for the animal's passport) and must comply with all entry procedures. All cats, dogs and ferrets must travel with their rabies vaccination document. For further information, please contact your veterinarian or travel agency. Animals are not allowed in the interior areas of ships (bars, restaurants and other public areas) or in vehicles (except in the case of reservations with camping on board), and their access to the vehicle deck is prohibited during the trip. When walking in the outdoor areas, animals must be muzzled and leashed and accompanied by the owner or guardian. The owner or guardian of the animal is fully responsible for the care, safety and hygiene of the animal and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Camping at Bordo

The Camping on Board service is available from 1 April until 31 October. Due to the limited space on board reserved for this service, we recommend booking well in advance. For safety reasons, it is strictly forbidden for passengers travelling with Camping on Board to cook or use gas or fire. Please pay special attention to the Camping on Board instructions available on board.

Meals

Meals are not included in the fare paid for the ticket.

Personal effects

Superfast Ferries S.A. or Blue Star Ferries S.A. are not responsible for any loss of money or valuables left unattended in the common areas or inside the cabins. Please report the incident to the reception desk on board during the voyage or contact the Customer Service via the dedicated hotline.

Embarkation procedure / Entry formalities

All passengers must be in possession of a valid passport and relevant travel documents. Superfast Ferries S.A. or Blue Star Ferries S.A. will not be held liable if the authorities prevent a passenger from continuing their journey. Superfast Ferries S.A. or Blue Star Ferries S.A. reserve the right to deny boarding to any person who is not in possession of valid identification documents. If the immigration office imposes a fine on Superfast Ferries S.A. or Blue Star Ferries S.A., the amount of the fine shall be paid by the passenger who has not provided the required legal documents. If the immigration office does not grant an entry visa, the passenger will be repatriated at his/her own expense. Passengers from other states are advised to contact their consulate for further details. Infants and children also require an official identification document. All persons and objects brought on board the ship may be checked. Persons who refuse to comply with this request will be refused entry on board; they will also be reported to the relevant port authorities. All passengers must show their boarding pass as well as a valid passport or identity card to the authorised on-board staff. The carrier reserves the right to deny boarding to any person without a valid boarding pass or travel documents or who is unable to prove his/her identity. Once on board the ship, disembarkation prior to departure is prohibited. Should this be necessary, passengers must take all luggage and/or their vehicle with them. Please report any weapons in your possession at check-in.
