Below are the company's general conditions of carriage:


Navigazione Libera del Golfo S.r.l., hereinafter referred to as “the Company”, undertakes the carriage of persons, their luggage, vehicles and motorbikes accompanying passengers, in accordance with these Regulations of Carriage, the conditions of which are considered fully known and accepted by anyone who purchases or uses tickets for passage by the Company. The Transport Regulations are available to users at the Company's offices and ticket offices, as well as at the Commands on board. The fares, timetables, routes and other conditions stated herein may be changed over time.
1) TICKETS AND FARES
- The passage ticket is personal and non-transferable, and is valid only for the carriage specified on it. The passenger is obliged to diligently guard the ticket to justify his or her right to travel, and to show it to any Ship's Officer or Company Official who requests it. Tickets bearing abrasions and/or corrections are considered void. Tickets not used for the date and the journey will lose their validity, with no right to reimbursement. The regulations and fares in force can be consulted at the Company's ticket offices and on board the vessels. Duplicates will not be issued for lost or stolen tickets.
Online tickets
- Tickets issued on-line follow the specific regulations, explained in the area of the company's website dedicated to the purchase of this type of ticket.
Children
Children under 2 years of age are granted free passage without the right to a seat; if they occupy a seat, payment of the prescribed fare is due. Children between 2 and 12 years of age pay the child fare. From 12 years of age they pay full fare. The age of the children must be documented before the ticket is issued. Children under 12 years of age must be kept under the supervision of parents and/or adults who have custody of them and may not travel on the ship unaccompanied. The Company shall not be liable for damages incurred by minors in the event of failure to comply with the above.
Reductions
Reductions in passage prices must be requested by those entitled to them before the ticket is issued, and upon presentation of supporting documents.
Reductions for island residents
Concessionary fares for island residents - on the routes where they are provided - are only applicable to passengers who prove their residence on the island, with proper documentation. Passengers who, during the journey, are found without the document entitling them to the concessionary fare applied when the ticket was issued, will be required to pay the difference between the reduced fare already paid and the full fare, increased by 100%.
On-board checks
The Company, by means of inspectors in charge of control or even its own on-board staff, may carry out checks on tickets even during navigation. Passengers who are found to be missing, without having given prior notice to the Captain or the on-board staff, will be subject to payment of the full fare, increased by 100%.
2) BOOKINGS
- Seats booked by specially authorised Travel Agencies, without simultaneous purchase of a ticket, remain available to the booker until one hour prior to departure. After this time, if a ticket has not been purchased, bookings are automatically cancelled.
3) CANCELLATIONS
Tickets to be cancelled by the passenger's choice may be cancelled up to 24 hours before departure, at the ticket office that issued them, with a penalty of 30% . After this deadline, no refund is due.
4) PRESCRIPTION
- The rights deriving from the contract of carriage of persons, baggage and vehicles are time-barred with the lapse of the terms envisaged by articles 418 and 438 of the navigation code. Article 418 - Prescription 1. The rights deriving from the contract of carriage of persons and unregistered luggage are prescribed with the lapse of six months from the arrival of the passenger at destination or, in case of non-arrival, from the day on which the passenger should have arrived. 2. Rights arising under the contract of carriage of registered luggage shall be extinguished after the expiration of one year from the date of delivery of the luggage or, in case of loss, from the day on which it ought to have been delivered. 3. In the case of carriage which starts outside Europe or the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea, the period of limitation for the rights mentioned in the preceding paragraphs shall run for one year. In the case of carriage which begins or ends outside Europe or countries bordering on the Mediterranean Sea, the period of limitation is one year.
5) INVOICES
- Tickets do not have invoice value. Passengers interested in obtaining a ticket with invoice value must make an explicit request at the time of ticket purchase, communicating their personal and fiscal data in accordance with Article 22 of Presidential Decree 633 of 26/10/72 and subsequent amendments, and before the ticket is issued.
6) LUGGAGE
- Luggage is considered to be suitcases, travel bags, backpacks and the like, containing personal effects, and travelling with the passenger. Passengers have the right to carry only one piece of baggage with a maximum dimensions of 50x30x15 cm and a maximum weight of 5.00 kg. Baggage in excess of the free baggage allowance will be embarked upon payment of the relevant fee. The baggage ticket only remunerates the maritime passage of the baggage itself. Embarkation, disembarkation, accommodation and safekeeping of baggage during navigation are the responsibility of the passenger. Baggage items may not be placed on chairs or seats, or in such a way as to cause an obstruction to other passengers. Packages not containing personal belongings of the passenger, especially if particularly bulky, will only be embarked if space is available on board, provided that there are no technical or sanitary impediments, and at the unquestionable judgement of the Master. The passenger who introduces substances or objects of illicit possession on board, or that do not comply with current sanitary or legal provisions, shall be liable to the Company for any damages, fines and penalties incurred as a result of such introduction. The Company is not liable for valuables, valuables, money or anything else left in the car or in common areas on board the vessel. In any case, it is up to the claimant to prove the entity of the loss or damage suffered, as well as the fact that such loss or damage occurred during transport.
7) DOGS, CATS AND PETS
- Unless otherwise prescribed by law, dogs, cats and other small live pets are allowed to accompany passengers and against payment of the stipulated fare. No animals may be brought into passenger lounges and rooms, with the exception of guide dogs for the blind. Dogs must be muzzled and leashed. Cats or other pets must be transported in cages or baskets by their owners. The feeding of animals is the responsibility of their owners. The following documentation is required for animals travelling with passengers: a valid health certificate or veterinary certificate stating that the animal is free of disease and, in particular for dogs, that it has been vaccinated against rabies. This documentation may be requested when the relevant ticket is issued or by the on-board staff when boarding.
8) WEAPONS AND DANGEROUS GOODS
- It is strictly forbidden to carry on board firearms, ammunition, explosives, fuel or other harmful or dangerous substances.
9) ON-BOARD PROVISIONS - NOTICES
- From the moment of embarkation on board and until disembarkation, each passenger is obliged to comply with the instructions given by the crew and the notices posted. In particular, passengers shall remain seated during the crossing and during mooring and unmooring operations, and maintain a behaviour that does not jeopardise the safety of navigation. In the event that, at the time of embarkation, or during navigation, a passenger is found to be carrying a weapon, or otherwise appears to be in a condition (due to illness, drunkenness or other reasons) such as to represent a danger or discomfort to himself or others, the Master of the vessel may refuse embarkation and/or take all measures provided for by law.
10) PASSENGER LIABILITY
- The passenger shall be liable for any damage caused by him/her or by a person or animal in his/her custody to the ship, its furnishings, appurtenances and accessories, equipment, other passengers, baggage, the Company's employees or auxiliaries, or third parties, as well as for the payment of any fines, penalties, fines and/or expenses to which the Company may be subject.
11) ACCOMPANYING MOTOR VEHICLES
- The passenger must personally and under his or her own responsibility take care of the embarkation and disembarkation of the vehicle accompanying him or her. Once boarded, the vehicle must be left with engine and lights off, windows closed, not locked, first gear engaged, hand brake engaged and the ignition key inserted in the dashboard. It is at the passengers’ own risk to leave things in the vehicles; the luggage rack may be locked. It is forbidden to board vehicles carrying dangerous or harmful goods, which are not permitted under current regulations, and containers with flammable products in general. It is compulsory to declare at the time of ticket purchase the carriage of vehicles powered by liquid gas. Those who fail to make such a declaration lose their right to board. Vehicles will be called for embarkation in the order that will be arranged by the ship's captain and/or his subordinates and attendants, who will indicate the place where they are to be accommodated. The ship's captain may request the passenger to unload any luggage from the roof of the cars. Any damage suffered by accompanying vehicles during embarkation operations or during the crossing must be reported to the Master immediately or in any case before disembarkation. The Company is not liable for damage to or damage to the vehicle and/or items contained therein. Any damage caused by the vehicle to the vessel and to third parties must be compensated before disembarkation. The embarkation order shall be the sole responsibility of the Master on Board. Fares for accompanied vehicles are inclusive of embarkation and disembarkation fees. The fare groups are as follows: - Group I: up to 4 mt. - Group II: over 4 m. It is also necessary to arrive at the embarkation point with an accompanying car at least half an hour before departure. Passengers who do not present themselves for embarkation within the aforementioned time limit, even if they have a reservation, lose the right to a seat guarantee. In the event of cancellation of the crossing due to weather conditions, the Company declines all responsibility, as it does for all circumstances not directly under its control. Changes: no reimbursement will be granted in the event of a change of date, route or vehicle category. In the event of ticket loss or theft, a new ticket must be purchased. The Company reserves the right to change timetables and fares without prior notice. Vehicle reservation : When purchasing the ticket, it is essential to specify the size and characteristics of the vehicle. Overall measurements are taken into account for the calculation of the fare. In case of omission or false declaration, the company reserves the right to refuse boarding.
12) PROHIBITIONS
- It is forbidden for passengers to include in their luggage or embark vehicles carrying inflammable or otherwise dangerous materials, contraband, to carry letters and parcels subject to postal taxes, goods subject to State property rights, or which are otherwise forbidden to be exported. It is also forbidden to bring objects into the boat's saloons that may cause annoyance or disturbance to passengers, to lie on the sofas, to open or close the windows without contacting the crew. Failure to comply with the aforementioned prohibitions is the passenger's responsibility towards the competent authorities and towards the Company, which reserves the right to claim compensation for any damages, fines and penalties to which it may be subject. Passengers are obliged to pay compensation for any damage caused to the boat and onboard furnishings.
13) BOARDING
- When boarding, passengers are obliged to show their ticket and documents proving that they are entitled to a fare reduction or waiver to the on-board staff.
14) ITINERARIES AND TIMETABLES
- The ship's departure and arrival times and itinerary are subject to change, even without prior notice, for technical reasons or force majeure. for these reasons, the Company reserves the right to cancel or modify the scheduled trips in whole or in part and also reserves the right to cancel departures or stopovers for the same reasons. Should the itinerary of the trip have to be changed for technical reasons or force majeure, the passenger must disembark at the port of new destination and no refund or compensation will be due. Passengers are therefore required to ask for confirmation of itineraries and timetables, well in advance, at the ticket offices of the port of call, making sure - before departure - that there are no changes to the ship and timetable shown on the ticket. In this case, the passenger may ask the ticket office to be allowed to depart, if there is availability of seats, with another journey made by the company, or he/she may renounce the journey itself, against reimbursement of the ticket price, which will be made at the issuing ticket office. No further compensation or damages will be paid by the Company, whatever the cause of cancellation or modification of the journey.
15) LIABILITY’
- Passengers, cars and luggage will be transported at the passenger's own risk. The Company declines all responsibility for damage to persons or property, or theft of cars or luggage. No responsibility can be attributed to the Company for greater expenses caused by delays or omissions of trips due to technical or mechanical failures of its vehicles, or in any case due to causes beyond its control such as illness, bad weather, strikes, quarantines, wars, force majeure. Schedules, fares and travel conditions may be changed without notice.
16) COMPLAINTS - ACCIDENTS - CLAIMS
- Any claims must be notified in writing directly to the Company. Accidents or damage to persons or property must be reported immediately to the Master of the ship on which the voyage was made.
17) POSTING AND VARIATION OF REGULATIONS AND TARIFFS
- These regulations are posted for the public's appropriate knowledge on the premises of each of the Company's agencies and in the on-board passenger areas.
18) INTEGRATION AND AMENDMENTS OF THE REGULATION
- The Company reserves the right to supplement or amend the conditions governing the user relationship at any time. The relevant communications will be validly made by the Company by means of a notice displayed at the Company's Offices and Ticket Offices and at the Commands on board, and will come into force as of the date indicated in said notice.
19) JURISDICTION.
For any controversy that may arise regarding the interpretation and execution of the present Contract of Carriage, the passenger accepts Italian jurisdiction and the competence of the Court of Naples, without prejudice to the Company's right to bring any other competent Court, Italian or foreign. Recorded in Naples on 27/09/2004 at no. 101346/3, at the Agenzia delle Entrate - Ufficio Napoli 1°.
