General Conditions Ventouris Ferries

The following are the general conditions of carriage of the company in question.

GENERAL CONDITIONS Passengers, their luggage and vehicles travel according to the general conditions of transport of Ventouris Ferries. Children Children up to 4 years of age travel free of charge without the right to a bed. Children from 4 to 12 years of age receive a 50% discount on the indicated fares (both outward and return). Discounts Students enjoy a 20% discount on the indicated fares in the following accommodations: AB, B, BB, S, Y. Members of Embassies, NATO or EEC and their families enjoy the 20% discount for both passengers and their vehicles. Fares with the return discount are already calculated in the “RETURN” columns. This reduction is only applicable if the return ticket is issued together with the outbound ticket at the time of purchase. The return discount is applied regardless of the port chosen. ATTENTION: discounts cannot be combined. Embarkation Passengers with reservations must present themselves at the port offices at least two hours before the departure of the ship. The ceck-in closes 20 minutes before departure. The company has the right to cancel the booking after the ceck-in has closed; in this case no refund is due. Anyone travelling with a camper van or trailer must complete the ceck-in three hours prior to departure. Any delay of such vehicles may not guarantee transportation on the open deck. All passengers must present valid travel documents. Open-Date Tickets Open date tickets are valid for one year from the date of issue. Passengers of such tickets must confirm the return date at least one week before the return date to the agency at the port of embarkation or to Ventouris Ferries itself. Confirmation for the booking is subject to the availability of seats and the Company assumes no liability in the event of their absence. In addition, return fares will be calculated according to the season in which the journey is made and any difference to the amount already paid will be paid at the port of embarkation. Cancellations Cancellations must be made through General Agents, Port Agents or Ventouris Ferries itself. As soon as passengers holding a ticket issued with a defined departure date communicate that they are unable to travel, the following refund percentages will be applied: Up to 30 days before departure: 100% From 30 days up to 48 hours before departure: 80% From 48 hours up to 24 hours before departure: 50% For cancellations communicated less than 24 hours before departure, the Company has no obligation to refund the amounts paid for the ticket. REFUNDS can only be made by the Agent who issued the ticket. Lost Tickets If a ticket is lost, the customer must immediately notify the Agent who issued the ticket or the Company itself. In this case a new ticket will be issued upon further payment by the passenger. Refunds will be made 12 months after the ticket's expiry date and upon verification of its complete non-use. ATTENTION: tickets are valid for one year from the date of issue only for the port shown on the ticket. Disembarkation If the passenger refuses to disembark at or within his port of destination, he must pay the difference in price and any other possible surcharge. Ventouris Ferries is authorised to retain the total amount of the ticket if the passenger interrupts his journey at or within his port of destination, unless the interruption is due to illness, accident or force majeure. Information Breakfast, lunch, dinner are not included in the ticket price. Exclusive use of the cabin involves payment of 50% for each unoccupied bed. Pets travel free of charge and are not allowed in the ship's cabins, restaurants or bars. For safety reasons, cooking, using gas appliances or any other form of flame or fire is strictly forbidden for all those travelling on “Camping on Board”. The Company declines any responsibility for the loss of luggage, money, or valuables. Money and valuables may be handed over to the Purser's Office for safekeeping. Buses travelling with less than 50% passenger capacity will be charged the truck fare. Truck fares and/or reservations can be obtained from the Company's head office in Piraeus or from Ventouris Ferries boarding offices. Destination and Fares Ventouris Ferries makes every effort to adhere to the timetables and routes. However, in the event of fuel price increases, fluctuations in exchange rates or any other unforeseen circumstances, Ventouris Ferries reserves the right to vary departure times and fares without prior notice.
